Ex JW Stories, Miscellaneous »
After many months of collaborative effort across the online ex-JW community, it is my privilege to be able to present the first ever online magazine for doubting, exiting and former Jehovah’s Witnesses.
JWRecovery Magazine is a completely free, collaborative journal designed to provide easily accessible information and support assistance to ex Jehovah’s Witnesses around the world. It is our hope that the information contained within, in a new alternative format, will be another convenient touch-point for those seeking information and recovery help.

Western culture is a kaleidoscope of cultural and religious diversity. We’re not just talking about Christian vs. Atheist or Religious vs. Secular, but we’re talking about Christians, Secularists, Evangelicals, Baptists, Atheists, Muslims, Jews, Naturalists, Pagans, Adventists, Protestants, etc… you get my drift.
In my opinion, religious groups falsely demonize “secularity” because they believe it has an agenda which is equal to their own.
I.e. The Christian agenda is equal to the Muslim agenda is equal to the Secular agenda.

Original Article Posted at: Unreasonable Faith
We hear a lot about “biblical marriage” these days. Some of us might not be clear on what that means. The website Religious Tolerance has provided a helpful article on the types of marriage found in the pages of the bible.
Here’s a summary:
Polygynous Marriage
Probably the most common form of marriage in the bible, it is where a man has more than one wife.

Welcome JWN.
After a sad announcement last summer that JWD was to be shut down by the end of 2008, I am very happy to report that the owner, Simon, has decided to keep JWD alive. JWD has in fact given birth to a new and improved site: JWN (www.jehovahs-witness.net).
The new site went live recently and although still in development and with a few bugs to be worked out the site look and layout is consistent with the old but much improved. It has a fresh ‘2.0′ feel and I’m sure …

Happy Holidays to you and yours…

Important Update: Added January 2009 - Click Here - JWD Gives Birth to JWN
Yesterday brought with it some sad news. One of the largest ex JW community forums will be closing after more than 8 years. Thousands of former Jehovah’s Witnesses have been active members of JWD over the years, sharing experiences, encouragement and inspiration.
JWD, otherwise known as “Jehovah’s Witness Discussion Forum” holds a very special place in my heart. It was the catalyst which helped me to finally begin addressing my experiences as a child raised in the Watchtower …

It’s always nice to lighten things up a little. After all, where would we be without humor? In the words of Sir Francis Bacon…
“Imagination was given to man to compensate him for what he is not; a sense of humor to console him for what he is.”
And now for your reading pleasure may I present…
The Top 20 Reasons you may be a Jehovah’s Witness:
20. You think that service to God can be measured in hours.
19. You see no problem with arguing that a loving god would never create a hell, …

Let’s Lighten the Mood with Some Good Ol’ Humor!
A friend on YouTube named Shazoolo from the UK, has made a funny and light-hearted video containing a wide assortment of religious jokes. I’d like to second his motion to lighten things up after dealing with some pretty serious topics of late.
For those of you who are interested, Shazoolo has an extensive gallery of videos in which he considers, discusses and questions teachings and doctrine from many different faiths; including the Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mormons and the LDS Church. He’s now a Born …
